Crashtest Security

Co-Founder & Head of Development

Acquired by Veracode (2022)

Co-founded a DAST security startup, built the automated scanner, and led the backend team and infrastructure from first commit to a successful exit.

I co-founded Crashtest Security and led development of a fully automated security scanner for web applications, JavaScript apps, and APIs.

As Head of Development I built and managed the backend team, designed the microservice architecture, owned the Kubernetes infrastructure and all payment flows, and represented the product through workshops and conference talks on IT security.

The company was acquired by Veracode in 2022, extending Veracode’s dynamic analysis capabilities with the technology we built.

CTO

New platform launched after succesful merger

Owned technical direction end-to-end: kept a legacy shop running smoothly while designing and launching an entirely new marketplace platform.

As CTO I was responsible for the full technical direction of the business - from the day-to-day operation of a legacy shop system to the complete conception and launch of a new marketplace business model.

I led an organization of up to 16 developers, DevOps engineers, Product Managers and BI analysts, managed the communication between engineering and the business units, and aligned engineering goals with the company vision at the C-level.

Team Lead Software Engineering & Tech Lead DevOps

Service Development and DevOps practice established

Led backend engineering for a high-traffic e-commerce platform while standing up and owning the DevOps function.

I led a team of up to 13 developers and DevOps engineers, driving project development across PHP and Go for a high-traffic e-commerce platform.

Alongside the backend leadership I took over DevOps responsibilities - building out the practices, infrastructure, and CI/CD that kept the platform shipping safely - and owned the collaboration between engineering and BI.
